Whilst the doctors at this surgery are excellent, the administrative service is very poor. I got told a letter was waiting for me in reception, but when I got there it wasn't there and they could not find one. Half hour wasted. Then I got a letter saying I had a triage appointment by phone. Phoned Southend Hospital to be told, after lengthy wait, that the medical secretary had cancelled the appointment the day before. Would have been helpful if she could have told me then I wouldn't have wasted another half an hour. Needless to say, can't get through by phone (never can) and now have to do another online consultation. I have been waiting for a re-referral letter for a month now. Absolutely appalling service.

Very efficient and friendly without being over familiar. Doctors, nurses and receptionists all take time to understand your needs and to take account of them.

Absolutely outstanding care received today from Dr Liu. Appointment was for minor surgery and I felt completely reassured throughout. Dr Liu was totally professional, reassuring and took time to explain the procedure and made me feel totally at ease and confident in her medical competence and skill. Her care throughout was brilliant and i received exemplary care.

Trying to get an appointment is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Phone line cuts if they are already speaking to someone so have to call 50 times to even get through. They admit they don't have enough staff in and then make you have to wait weeks for an appointment. Should you be waiting on results you will not get a call back and have to chase yourself. When they do say they will call you back they don't mean until another few weeks later until you've already chased yourself.

Today (March 27th 2017) a receptionist left a message -from a withheld telephone number- at 07.44 asking me to call the Jones Family practice. Due to scam calls we do not answer Withheld numbers. Of course I tried to call back, but until 8am there is only an answering machine and after 8am we all know it is difficult to get through. I have two observations please:- 1. It would help everyone concerned if the message that my appointment had been cancelled had been stated in the message left by the reception staff. 2. It would also be of great benefit for your number to be shown on caller display. 3. As I have a mobile number I will ensure it is switched on for the occasions when I have any future appointments. Thank you.
